A lawsuit for disability claims by veterans could be the solution for many veterans who suffer from disabilities as a result of their military service. The Department of Veterans Affairs offers benefits to veterans, such as medical care and programs for veterans.

According to a lawsuit filed Monday, Black veterans have disproportionately having a harder time obtaining these benefits. The suit was filed on behalf of Conley Monk Jr. by Yale Law School's Veterans Legal Services Clinic.

PTSD

When people experience trauma it may cause them to develop symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The symptoms include anxiety, nightmares, or frightening flashbacks.
